January was unusually warm. Let's hope for more of the same in February! Competition race #2 looms!
The Martin Sports Car Club is pleased to offer its members another opportunity to attend a single-day autocross school. The dates for the two, single-day schools are Saturday, March 3 and Sunday, March 4. There will be training in autocross concepts and loads of practice! The school will include classroom, instructors riding in and occasionally driving your car (with your permission), and possible course layout variations during the day.
The schools will be taught by Skip Barber Racing School instructors Gerardo Bonilla and Matt Ferratusco, and accomplished drivers and instructors Chris Wells and Marc Dana.
The two separate single-day schools have a cap of 20 students per day. To accommodate as many students as possible, we are limiting students to one day only. If classes do not fill, we will allow you to register for the other day on a “first come, first serve” basis. Matt Ferratusco to be placed on a waiting list for the additional day. We will notify everyone ASAP if a second day is possible. Pre-payment is available via PayPal but not required.
**Note: pre-registration at My Auto Events will open this Friday, January 13, at 7 pm.
Cost per student is $120 per day. Lunch will be provided along with plenty of water to keep you hydrated! Please bring other drinks you might prefer (non-alcoholic of course). Also, please bring pen, paper and don’t forget the sunscreen!
Please arrive by 7:30 am to change tires and prep your car. Class will begin promptly at 8:15 am. A brief classroom discussion will be followed by a thorough course walk, then laps, laps and more laps! We will utilize a two-group run/work format (similar to an Evolution school) in order to cover course worker positions.
Be prepared to drive your heart out and your ass off! And learn a little bit, too...
